Sri Lanka is situated between 5-10 degrees from equator to the North, defined as a tropical and hot climate, makes it into one of the most beautiful island in the world. A prodigy of immaculate beaches, solemn temples, high mountains covered by thick forests, dense tropical jungles, UNESCO World Heritage sites including natural reserves, stands out for its diversity of fauna, between them, elephants, leopards, turtles and bears in danger of extinction and a richness of approximately 400 species of birds. Sri Lanka offers a great diversity of habitats and landscapes owed fundamentally to its biogeography and climatic variations, finding 7.500 different species.
